Paddle with us

Explore a landscape delineated by tides, mist, and ancient forests. These waters offer something different to everyone, and this form helps us shape an expedition that meets your goals, needs and interests.

ON THESE SHORELINES…

You might see mist clinging to steep, forested slopes that rise toward glaciated valleys. Hemlock boughs trail in the ocean at high tide, home to shaggy usnea lichen and herring eggs in early spring.
Travelling  on BC's remote waterways by sea kayak provides a unique intimacy with the temperate coastal rainforest ecosystem. In the region with the highest biomass (total number of organisms in a given location) per hectare of any region on Earth, you may paddle alongside sea lions surfing in surging ocean currents, or hear the slap of a feeding Chinook salmon hit the water behind you.
Calm lake with forested hills and distant mountains under a pale sky at sunset.
Person kayaking near rocky shore with evergreen trees and a red and white navigational marker under clear sky.

EXPEDITIONS UNIQUELY CRAFTED TO FIT YOU

Every trip is shaped around the people who paddle it. We take time to understand your goals and work behind the scenes to create a paddling trip where you can meet them, whether that looks like expanding your comfort zone, taking on a personal challenge, or reconnecting with yourself or nature.
As a small and dedicated team, our commitment to professionalism, safety and quality creates a thoughtful experience from booking through to the final paddle stroke.

Our Values

We strive to minimize our physical impact on the environments we travel through, and show respect both for the local First Nations who have stewarded these lands for thousands of years and the plants and animals that live here today. Human traffic in popular marine parks and backcountry destinations does take a toll on the environment. Through education and shared experience, we hope to empower our guests to travel thoughtfully with us and in their own future adventures.

In early June, we took a trip with Clancy as our guide. This sea kayaking trip was a first for everyone in the group. Clancy had put a lot of effort into her prep for the trip and it showed. She explained safety procedures and made us all feel comfortable before setting out on the water. Clancy had a great ability to gauge everyone’s abilities and tweak the trip based on that.

We spent an amazing three nights in the back country in what I would consider supreme camping locations. Clancy' s knowledge of what seems like everything, kept us constantly amazed. Her cooking in the backcountry was comparable to food you’d receive at a four-star restaurant.

On the paddle back we had rough waters and Clancy cheered us on and made sure we were all safe. Thank you Clancy for an unforgettable experience!

I’ve had the pleasure of being guided by Clancy twice, backcountry skiing in Japan, and kayaking British Columbia’s coastline.  Clancy’s kind and caring nature left a deep impression on me. Combined with her experience, I made unforgettable memories during these outdoor experiences.

On our most recent trip Clancy single handedly guided five of us in kayaking the British Columbia coastline, coordinating and preparing the equipment, safely guiding us along breathtaking scenery, cooking incredible camp meals and doing it in a manner that seemed effortless. It was impressive to witness. Somewhere she found time to throw me a birthday celebration with homemade carrot cake and French Press coffee. Throughout the four-day trip I felt very well taken care of which allowed me to relax and enjoy the journey.

I travel the globe for work and it’s rare to see someone display so much kindness and caring in their craft. Having Clancy be part of my excursions left just as much of an impression as did the beauty of nature we sought to find. A heartfelt “Thank You” from this grateful client.
